EFEK PERENDAMAN BENIH JOHAR (Cassia siamea Lamk) DALAM ASAM SULFAT (H2SO4) TERHADAP PERKECAMBAHANNYA

Johar (Cassia siamea Lamk) seeds have physical dormancy, because the entry of water and gases prevents by hard seed coat in process germination. Therefore, to assist germination process, pre treatment form scarification is needed, among others using sulfuric acid (H2SO4) solution. This study aims analyze effect soaking H2SO4 with 96% concentration on johar The used a completely randomized design (CRD) method 5 treatments i.e control, soaked for 5, 10 , 15, 20 minutes. Each 3 replication 50 per replication. Parameter that was measure initial time germination, last 80% limit percentage vigor index. results this research find solution (concentration 96%) had significant 15 minutes best seeds.
